Review on IoT-based Remote Monitoring System for Engine Health
Abstract
This paper presents an IoT-based system using
Blynk that enables remote monitoring of a car engine’s
condition. The system integrates pressure sensors to monitor oil
and gas pressure, temperature sensors to track engine
temperature, and vibration sensors to detect unusual engine
activity. At the heart of the system is the NodeMCU
microcontroller, which processes all the sensor data and
communicates it to the Blynk cloud platform in real time. The
NodeMCU also controls a ventilation fan that helps regulate
the engine’s temperature, enhancing both performance and
longevity. This smart system ensures that critical engine
information is accessible from anywhere via the Blynk app,
making it easier to identify and respond to potential issues
before they become serious. By combining intelligent control,
accurate sensors, and IoT connectivity, the system offers a
reliable solution for remote engine health monitoring—
ultimately helping users maintain their vehicles more effectively
and ensuring smoother performance.
