Leadership Gender Crisis-A New Approach
Abstract
Women are progressing well ahead of men across the carrier pipeline excluding the leadership positions. This is quite evident from many research findings across the globe. However, when it comes to action the women in top leadership are quite outnumbered. The reason being, women are not consciously accepted as the leaders by male counterparts in organizations due to gender bias in particular. Hence, women are cornered to achieve top leadership despite of talents and workaholic nature. The fundamental problem needs to be addressed is the cause of lack of acceptance in organizations. This chapter aims to address the core issues that avoid the most efficient women attaining a leadership position and their exact issues in achieving their status-quo in organizations. Also, to emphasize the prospective aspects that are required to overcome their perspective towards women so that they are recognized at par with men.
