Dr.P.M. Balasubramaniam, S. Preethi, K. Surya Prakash, S. Swathi and B. Vishnu

Abstract
Solar energy is the most abundant source of energy for all forms of life. The sunlight is not used to the maximum extent in an ordinary solar power system and in order to take the highest potential of the system, Solar tracking and cleaning are employed. This project aims at increasing the efficiency of the solar panel which leads to a reduction in plant output and overall plant efficiency. Concatenating the concept of automation and cost-effectiveness leads to better utilization of solar power. When there is a change in the intensity of light, the PV panel is automatically tilted accordingly to achieve a maximum intensity of light. The cleaning system is used to remove the accumulated dust on its surface on a regular basis and maintain the solar panel output which is executed by a robotic system which could have the nozzle from which the water is sprinkled on the panel and thus the panel gets cleaned.
