Women empowerment is a holistic process. The fundamental aspect of it is to empower women economically, which in turn earns them the social status. The aspect of microfinance plays a crucial role in achieving it at rural areas. The reason being, self-help group concept revolves around microfinance. Furthermore, it provides the possibility of women to become self-employed and paves the way for them to become entrepreneurs. The microfinance provides the aspiration among rural women to enhance their abilities in the areas of marketing and sales, ultimately alleviating poverty and to achieve overall economical development of the country. The present study intends to find the empowerment of rural women in the microfinance sector.
